House of Maxwell & Bessie Adiele: Giving Hope Through Food & Tech

House of Maxwell & Bessie Adiele was established in the memory of Mr. Maxwell and Mrs. Bessie Adiele, ordinary humans who lived extraordinary lives; a life of kindness and compassion to all, in a world filled with individuality, selfishness and segregation.

Inspired by this selflessness, we founded this nonprofit organization to help the destitute, homeless, widowed, and orphaned all around the world, irrespective of their tribe, ethnicity, color, race, religious, gender, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. We are all humans before we became anything else.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide food for those in need. At the beginning stage, feeding programs will be organized every last Saturday of every month. We believe that no one should go hungry, and our goal is to ensure that every person in need receives a meal.

Abuja Feeding Program

The Abuja Feeding Program was started to provide food for at least 500 Nigerians living at the Federal Capital Territory of the country, on a monthly basis.

With rising inflation, increase in cost of food, and over 90 million citizens living below the poverty line, access to quality food – or any food at all – is getting increasingly difficult for people, especially children, the aged and the disabled. Feeding 500 people every month is just the first phase – our goal, as we get more finance, is to provide soup kitchens all over the country and then extend into other African countries.

Tech Skill Acquisition

While we understand the importance of ensuring people get fed, we know that the most profitable way to tackle poverty is by empowering people with relevant skills. To this end, we have established the House of M&B Adiele Scholarship Fund. Right now, we’ve raised $2000 which will go into payments for enterprising youths to learn tech skills.

Over time, we plan to increase the funds to cover both the learning and procurements of tools needed for these youngsters to stand a chance of competing and making something great out of their lives in this age.
